Car Stereo?

I want to install a car receiver in my garage; between two studs with a power source just south. Will I have to re-wire to power the receiver? Any thoughts would be appreciated.Car Stereo?
In order to run your 12v stereo on your house 110v or 120v you will need to use a power convertor, from 120v to 12v.Car Stereo?
