How do I play my ipod through my car stereo without an auxiliary port?

I drive an '01 Honda CR-V, which doesn't have an auxiliary port or cassette player. I'm wanting to be able to play my ipod through my car stereo but am not exactly sure how. Is there a way to do this without taking my stereo out to put an auxiliary cord in the back of the stereo? How do I play my ipod through my car stereo without an auxiliary port?
I'll be honest, those FM transmitters suck. I had one in my old car, the quality is terrible, it cost me around 80 bucks too. Sometimes the signal fades out. The cheapest option for you would be to buy a new head unit. You can get a good one for about a hundred bucks. Most of the new ones have USB ports in the front, so you can charge the ipod while you listen, and you control the ipod through the head unit. With my old car, i had originally had the FM transmitter, because it was so bad, i installed a completely different head unit.

My advice, dont buy a transmitter, just get a new head unit.
Well with a stock stereo having an aux cord in the back is very unlikely. what you could do is get an FM transmitter. You can find one at most stores like walmart or best buy. What it does is plugs into your ipod, and then you set it to a station. Then you turn on that station on your car radio and it will play through the car radio. How do I play my ipod through my car stereo without an auxiliary port?
You can go to Radio Shack or an electronic place, and buy a small transmitter that you plug into the iPod, then you tune your stereo to an open station, and can hear all your music without any wired connections...I have one, works great...and you CAN get a good one for a LOT less than the $80 the previous poster said...
There's no other way that i know without using the auxiliary cord or using a kind of device that plugs into the headphone part of the ipod and plays through the radio! How do I play my ipod through my car stereo without an auxiliary port?
Get an FM Transmitter at your local electronics store (Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc.).
fm transmitter is pretty much all u can do without buying a new radio
