I want to be able to determine how many db's my car stereo can put out without taking it to a bass competition.How can I accurately test and measure the db of my car stereo?
Go to a dealer that holds Bass Competitions( when they are not having one)....and have them measure your car accurately with a RTA/SPL program they will measure your SPL output and will probally give you a print out with will only take a few minutes and maybe a few dollars...min shop charge.....no better way to go.....otherwise with radio shack db meters.....your not going to get an accurate reading

Find a local audio shop who has a termlab and have them meter it
You should use a meter that measures db.
