What is the best brand and best quality car stereo?

Hey guys, What is the best car stereo out there? Is it PIONEER, SONY or what? and is there a website that reviews these car stereos?

Thanks in advance. What is the best brand and best quality car stereo?
well it sure as hell isnt sony. look man, you need to get out of best buy, and go into a private shop. there are tons of other brands that you dont even know about that would make the stuff at best buy look like a 2 year old girls stereo.

with that aside i dont think there is a "best" its too much based on personal opinion. however, here are some of my favorites.

Boston Acoustic

Eclipse

Kenwood Excelon

MB Quart

Pioneer Premier

Diamond Audio

check out some of these brands, then ask your question again. there is a whole nother world of car audio out there, all you have to do is find it.
hey go with something like this ok.

Deck-pioneer, they have great cd players.

speakers- kicker and alpine, they are loud and sound great

sub and amp- kicker allllll the wayWhat is the best brand and best quality car stereo?
I've owned several different kinds of after-market radios and in my opinion, Kenwood is the best.
Pioneer car stereos are tops in my book. I've owned many brands and Pioneer has best FM tuner, and very good CD signal to noise ratio. Also, they're very reliable. Sony's suck, in my opinion. Kenwood is also very good. What is the best brand and best quality car stereo?
if your saying Hu i will go with alpine. Make great Hu and the sound quality is great go with ALPINE
Bose is crap, thats just a label for people with too much money to waste into there system and get ripped off for a crappy system. It really depends what you're talking about in stereo, if you mean the Deck i have a Sony and love it, Also Alpine Receivers are very good, I havent heard anything bad about pioneer except normally theyre a lower quality than the larger brands. Speakers, you just have to listen to them to know for sure, i Have Kickers in the front that produce great highs, and i have Polk Audio's In the Back for good mid range. If you're looking for a sub, i have not found a better sub for the money than the alpine Type R in a slot port box, thats a 500rms sub, i have mine hooked up to a 300.1 rms Kicker Amp and that one 10" can rattle the car next to me. So check the features of the Deck tiself and compare what it has, make sure it atleast has 35- 40+ watts per channel or you'll sytem will be extremely weak. Good Luck
That is a good question, but remember that when you are buying a system it has a lot to do with where it is going. Sony is good in home use, but there subs and amps have to be reworked. remember certain companies specialize in certain things, and Sony does not do amps well at all. So I would pick pioneer, their **primeer** selection is great. but if you want something else in amps you have a better chance in

MTX

Rockford fostgate

diamond audio(too much money)

Phoenix gold(high priced as well)
i am shocked to say that no one has mentioned clarion
alpine makes a great sounding head deck
The consumer reports guide can help you here.
MY PERSONAL CHOICE IS PIONEER AND YOU CAN GO TO THE WEBSITE OF THE COMPANIES TO SEE THE REVIEWS.
Check out Bose. Their stereoes are awesome! :)
In my experience ther is no real standout manufacturer. As long as you're not buying knock-off crap, it's going to sound good. I've been happy with pioneer decks and speakers, Rockford-Fosgate and MTX subs, Infinity Basslink (sub/amp unit) Sony decks.... the list goes on and on.

One thing you must understand though is that every product has its limits, and everthing will eventually wear out. In my experience, it doesn't matter who makes it, nearly as much as how you use it.

Carreview.com has some info, Crutchfield.com is a great source for info and lists customer feedback on products.
